We at Consume with Love would like to shine a spotlight on our friends from The Rev, Lacey Stluka and Britney Christie. They are passionately making a positive impact both locally and globally through their fair-trade products.
Their journey began in 2011 when Britney led a trip in Kenya and among the trip-goers, Lacey was one of them.
However, they did not know each other very well, but they had something in common that would bring them together and that was passion for Christ’s calling to make a difference not only in the slum communities of Africa, but also throughout the world.
Thus, the idea of The Rev, was born and it was up and running in October 2014.
The Rev is a store front that includes a coffee shop where giving back and stories collide in Memphis, Tennessee. Every product supports a cause and makes a lasting impact.
The company works directly with global artisans, through partnership with Be Free Revolution, to empower men and women with handmade trades and help it make possible to fund feeding and education programs in Africa.
Christ is a center of everything that these women set out to do in their lives as well as infusing their values within their company.
They highlight a scripture in the Bible that reinforces The Rev’s mission:
“Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” – 1 Corinthians 15:58
With that in mind, they have also had the opportunity to make a wonderful impact in the African communities by holding meetings, mission trips, and sponsorships of children in Kenya and Uganda.
You too can also be a part of the movement!
Here are some of The Rev’s products that you can find at Consume with Love to help you get started:
Hammered Teardrop Earrings
Green Marble Brass Pendant
Green Marble Teardrops
Dainty Beaded Necklace
The Rev’s goal is to bridge the gap between fashion and serving that will become a portal into our lifestyle as well as a way to sustain their mission of helping others help themselves in full circle.
As always, happy shopping!
